The Girl

I’m Hannah, the author of Hannah Says (That used to be The Scribbles of GirltaristHan). I doubt that I will ever be a published author but who knows what the future holds.

I’m a twenty-something customer service rep (or at least thats the day job). I love hanging out with my hubby, our foster son and my friends. I love food – it’s one of my weaknesses I think lol. I love movies and music. I love Studio Ghibli (My Neighbour Totoro, The Secret World of Arrietty and Howl’s Moving Castle)and Aardman Animations (Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run and Flushed Away) I love writing as I tend to be able to express myself better than with words. I love speaking in public when I’ve had to prepare what I’ve said I think I get tongue tied otherwise!

I’m a born and bred Bedfordian and have lived here in Bedford for my whole life. One day I hope to live somewhere else for a little while but I think Bedford will always be home especially for the time being.

The Boy

This is Chris, he’s The Boy or That Boy as my Dad used to refer to him! We’ve been together in some form for 7 years and have been married for nearly 5 years. We started as best friends and then one day 7 years ago we decided to try that whole girl/boyfriend thing and look where it got us lol. He’s also a twenty-something but is a little bit older than me. Chris didn’t grow up in Bedford but he moved here for me and then for his job. He has wanderlust and loves to travel. He had a huge heart for young people and wants to see them (and me) achieve our best and reach for the stars.

He wants to change the world in whatever form that comes – he’s the project manager of The Fountain Project here in Bedford.

Our Sidekick

Our Sidekick is 13 and he came to live with us in October 2011. At first it was a temporary measure for two weeks while some stuff got sorted but then it got to Christmas and he was still with us and now it’s March 2012 and we’re in the process of becoming official Foster Parents to Our Sidekick. He’s part of the family and we love him to bits. He loves parkour and crazy things like that. He shares my love of How I Met Your Mother and introduced me to Shaun the Sheep. He’s also proud of me because I can rap along to Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
